Sioux Falls Cares is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization
that has served Sioux Falls families in need at Christmas time since
1991. What started as 7 individuals getting together to spread
some cheer to 10 local families has grown into a project that provides
food, clothing, toys, and necessities to more than 500 families each
year—including over 1,500 children. We are proud to be celebrating our 26th season of Sioux Falls Cares.
Our challenge is great, but with help from people like you, we can lift the spirits of those in need.
100% of the funds we collect go to the families we serve during the
holiday season—although our work happens throughout the year with help
from donors and volunteers like you. Sioux Falls Cares pays no salaries
or administrative fees to anyone.
Every dollar makes a difference.
Every year we are able to grow our list of families we serve through
both individual and corporate donations. If you don’t have time to
volunteer, but wish to help, consider making a financial contribution.
How can I, my family, or company help with donations?
Many individuals, families, and businesses throughout the Sioux Empire
support our efforts through one-time financial contributions every year. Local companies can also organize fundraisers (such as a golf
tournament) or an item drive for us. If you’re considering hosting an
item drive, please email us to learn about our greatest needs.
If you prefer to donate your time, we’re always looking for volunteers
to make deliveries—one of our most challenging yet rewarding volunteer
